American Idol alum Justin Guarini called into On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Friday, September 20, to talk about his podcast and he had some exciting news to share.
"Later on this month I am going to start in a workshop for a show that is going to Broadway and it's called Once Upon a One More Time and it is the Britney Spears musical," Justin reveals.
A modern story of fairy-tale princesses told using popstar's music.
"I play Prince Charming," he says. "They created this beautiful story about female empowerment and breaking free from the chains of a lot of the things that women have to deal with and have had to deal with throughout time....It is just a funny, touching, awesome show."
"I cannot wait for you guys to see it on Broadway, he adds. "It's headed that way, probably next season."
In the meantime, you can hear Justin on his podcast Audition Secrets.
"It's my love letter to my people in the entertainment community who have to go out and slog every single day," he explains. "Instead of being confused and wondering what's wrong with me and walking into the room begging for a job, I love teaching people that's not how it works. The power structure is not what we thought....If we just go in and do what we do from our perspective with our experience then there is no competition."
