54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Justin Guarini in 'Lovesick' on June 2, 2014. JUSTIN GUARINI: LOVESICK is a new show directed by Gordon Greenberg, that is Guarani's tribute to all the horrifying places love has taken him - from a Catholic School closet in Doylestown, PA to the revolving hotel rooms at American Idol, and ultimately, to Broadway. With a seven-piece band, with back up vocalists and music from Burt Bacharach to Beck to Mika, LOVESICK promises to be an evening of raucous and revealing storytelling - and a full-on party. JUSTIN GUARINI: LOVESICK was developed at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
Justin Guarini in 'Lovesick' plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Monday, June 2, 2014. Cover charge begins at $25 and there is a $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling(646) 476-3551.
Philadelphia native and American Idol season one runner upJustin Guarini can currently be seen his 4th Broadway play taking on the role of 'Fiyero' in 'Wicked 'on Broadway. He was last seen on Broadway in the modern day version of 'Romeo and Juliet' in the role of 'Paris' starring alongside Orlando Bloom.
Since making his Broadway debut in 'Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown', the musical based on Pedro Almodóvar's Academy Award-nominated film, he has become one of the "new" faces on Broadway. His follow up to 'Women' was his role of 'Will' in the Tony Award winning Broadway production of 'American Idiot'.
Justin's experience is not just limited to theater but also television as one of TV Guide Network's resident hosts hosting on the red carpet for TV Guide during Award Season covering movie premieres and junket specials. Justin has made numerous appearances as a guest and performer on popular television programs such as The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America, The Today Show.
Justin's formal music education began at the age of four with the Atlanta Boys Choir and continued with the Philadelphia Arch-Diocese Choir. After concentrating on his classical and spiritual music background, he went on to study vocal performance, dance, theatrical arts, and film and television acting at The University of The Arts in Philadelphia.
